Privacy policy.

Verger Charbonneau ("we", "our") is a family business located at 575 Rang de la Montagne, Mont-Saint-Grégoire (Quebec). We are responsible for handling the personal information you provide to us through this site, by phone, or during your visit to the orchard.

We collect only the information needed to respond to your requests:

• When you contact us: name, email address, message content.
• When you call us (reservation, takeout order, group or event): name and phone number.
• When you fill out the event-request form: name, email address, phone, type and date of event, number of guests, desired meal formula and services, budget range, your message, and, if you choose to share them, your allergies or dietary restrictions.
• When you browse the site: traffic data via audience-measurement tools, described in detail in the Audience measurement section.

Allergies or dietary restrictions are sensitive information: this field is optional and is used only to adapt event catering to your needs. By filling it in, you consent to this use.

• To answer your questions and requests.
• To handle your reservations and takeout orders.
• To organize the events and receptions you ask us about, including adapting catering to your allergies or dietary restrictions when you share them.
• To improve site navigation and usability, in an aggregated and anonymous way.

To understand how our site is used and to improve it, we use two audience-measurement tools. We never seek to identify you personally for advertising purposes.

Google Analytics 4 (Google): this tool sets cookies and uses identifiers as well as an approximate location derived from your IP address, in order to produce traffic statistics. This data is shared with Google. Google Analytics loads only after your explicit consent; refusal is the default option. You can change this choice at any time from the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page.

Click map (Le Studio 7): this tool records only the position of clicks, the page viewed, the screen width, and the timestamp, in order to improve site usability. It is anonymous: no cookie is set, no IP address is stored, no identifier is created, and none of the content you type is recorded. Because it sets no cookie, it works without a consent banner.

We never sell your information. It may be shared with trusted providers acting on our behalf, only as needed to carry out their work:

• Érablière Charbonneau: requests submitted through the event form are transmitted to the Érablière Charbonneau booking system, which processes them on our behalf (recording the request, follow-up, and sending emails).
• Google (Google Analytics): traffic statistics; some data is shared with Google. See the Audience measurement section.
• Le Studio 7: anonymous, cookieless click map. See the Audience measurement section.
• Meta (Facebook, Instagram): videos and posts embedded in the site are hosted by Meta. They load only if you agree to display them; Meta then receives your IP address and the address of the page you are viewing.
• Web hosting and the technical services needed to run the site.

These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.

Some of our providers may process or host information outside Quebec, notably in the United States: this is the case for Google (audience measurement and maps), Meta (embedded Facebook videos and Instagram posts) and our web host. These providers are bound by contractual confidentiality and security commitments. By using the site or sending us your information, you are informed that it may be processed outside Quebec.

The site uses cookies essential to its operation and navigation. With your consent, Google Analytics also sets audience-measurement cookies: they are enabled only after your explicit consent, and refusal is the default option. The Le Studio 7 click map sets no cookie. You can review your choice at any time from the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page, or refuse and delete cookies through your browser settings. Content embedded in the site (Facebook videos, Instagram posts, Google Maps) sets its own cookies and sends your IP address to its provider. For that reason, it is not loaded until you have accepted cookies, or clicked Show content on the frame concerned. Once displayed, this content remains subject to the privacy policies of Meta and Google.

Under Quebec's Law 25 and applicable legislation, at any time you may:

• Access your information.
• Request its correction or deletion.
• Withdraw your consent to a processing activity.
• Request the portability of your data.
• File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

To exercise these rights, write to the contact below. We respond within a maximum of 30 days.

We keep your information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or to comply with our legal obligations (notably tax and accounting). Google Analytics traffic statistics are retained for a maximum of 14 months; the anonymous Le Studio 7 click-map data is retained for a maximum of 12 months.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page.
